Scenic Springs is a third-generation privately owned estate in the beautiful countryside of the quaint town of Grey Forest. Throughout the current generation's childhood, family and friends would often ask if they could host their wedding on the estate, so the owners decided to build a dedicated reception hall on top of the hill overlooking the oak trees, lawns, and the main house on the river. They turned the main house and the guest house into lodging and started their wedding business.
After the demanding work of establishing and running a great business, they decided they wanted to spend more time relaxing and less time working – camping trips and hiking with their dogs sounded like great options. Their dilemma was that they did not want to end their dream but wanted a partner who truly knew the business, would appreciate what they had built, and take their legacy forward so that guests would continue to enjoy the family property.
A local wedding planner, who had recently partnered with Wedgewood Weddings to transition nearby wedding location Hofmann Ranch, made the introductions. After detailed discussions with the owners and taking time to understand the expectations, our team and the owners formed a partnership that would preserve her family property, continue the business they have built and supply a stable, long-term rental income with an industry leader.

The Presidio of San Francisco is a federal park and former US Army base on the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula. This 1500-acre park is home to historic buildings and venues including the Officers’ Club, the Golden Gate Club, the Log Cabin, and large grass areas with scenic overlooks of the San Francisco skyline, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the San Francisco Harbor.
The Presidio Foundation manages the operations on the property and has been selling and executing weddings and special events throughout the park for many years but, due to budgetary constraints and realizing that it is not their expertise, started to look for a way to outsource the management of the event business that would alleviate the expense and capitalize on the spaces as rental income. The Foundation went out to RFP and after an extremely competitive bidding and interviewing process, the Foundation awarded Wedgewood Weddings & Events with the exclusive contract to manage all the sales, operations, and food & beverage of all the venues on the property under the Wedgewood Weddings & Events brand.
The Presidio Foundation’s belief and trust in the Wedgewood Weddings & Events business model and the addition of such an iconic and historic landmark to our venue options highlights Wedgewood Weddings & Events as the leader in the wedding industry. The result is the Presidio Foundation now has a proven, stable, and professional management company as a tenant that is committed to the long-term growth and financial ROI in both ongoing capital investment and, most importantly, bottom-line rent revenue.

MORAGA TOWN COUNCIL UNANIMOUSLY APPROVES CONTRACT FOR WEDGEWOOD WEDDINGS & EVENTS TO EXCLUSIVELY MANAGE THE HISTORIC HACIENDA DE LAS FLORES.
HACIENDA DE LAS FLORES, MORAGA, CALIFORNIA
The historic town-owned property is a beautiful mansion, pavilion, lawn, and parkland with blue atlas trees, willow, palms, and flowers. Tranquil and secluded, the Hacienda de Las Flores offers one of the prettiest garden environments for weddings and events in the East Bay.
After years of the Parks & Recreation department managing the weddings and events on the property, the Town - facing budgetary constraints having subsidized operational costs - was looking for ways to potentially repurpose the property or outsource the event management. The Town went out to RFP to solicit ideas from developers, restauranteurs, and event venue operators. After reviewing the proposals, the Town Council went back to the drawing board.
That is where Wedgewood Weddings & Events stepped in. Our knowledge of the events industry, dedication to hosting exceptional events, and relationships with public entities and municipalities made us a great fit for the Town. Wedgewood Weddings & Events proposed a lease framework that would give the Town instant bottom-line rent revenue, substantial capital investment to renovate and complete areas of deferred building and grounds maintenance, and a stable tenant with a proven business model and a leading brand in the wedding and event industry.
After working with Town Staff and Council on the lease framework and getting community feedback, the Town Council voted unanimously to approve the contract and partnership. The result is that the Town of Moraga now has a proven, stable, and professional management company as a tenant that is committed to the constant reinvestment into the capital needed to maintain the buildings and property and the operations are no longer a drain on the limited Town staff, and most importantly the Town Fiscal Budget.

THE RANCH AT SILVER CREEK, SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA
The Ranch at Silver Creek was once the clubhouse for the Ranch Golf Club. After many years of the golf course struggling financially, the course was closed and sold to a private development group. The new ownership continued to operate the clubhouse as a restaurant and event venue while they decided how best to utilize the beautiful land with views of downtown San Jose and the rolling hills and valleys.
The owner quickly realized how difficult and time-consuming it was to truly run a wedding venue and the complexities and financial burdens a restaurant can be. Knowing of Wedgewood Weddings & Events, they reached out to our Business Development team to start a dialogue and research what a potential partnership could look like. After many conversations and making sure long-term goals and expectations were discussed and mutual, the parties agreed to form a win/win partnership and long-term lease.
Wedgewood Weddings & Events invested the needed initial capital for deferred maintenance and renovations to truly make the Ranch a premier wedding venue in the San Jose market. Upgrades included a private ceremony site overlooking the San Jose skyline and rolling hills, warm and comfortable bride and groom’s rooms, and soft renovations to the reception hall. The result is the new owners have a stable, well-financed tenant with a proven business model as a partner who is committed to the long-term success of the business and the property.
