Edwards Mansion by Wedgewood Events is a historic garden estate established in 1890 in Redlands, California, a landmark property where more than a century of cultivation has produced something no conventional event venue can replicate: grounds that feel genuinely alive, layered with fragrance, character, and a particular quality of light that elevates every gathering.

The estate is home to two distinct event environments. The Orangery, the estate's original setting, accommodates gatherings of up to 200 guests across a series of spaces rooted in the property's citrus grove heritage. The Garden Party, the newest addition to the estate, offers a more intimate setting for events of up to 150 guests, with its own architecture and character.

The Orangery

Events begin in one of two thoughtfully appointed hospitality suites. The Ivy Suite is verdant and serene, with walls traced by creeping greenery and soft natural light filtering through foliage-framed windows, an ideal space for VIP preparation, executive breakouts, or intimate pre-event gatherings. The Amber Den offers a warmer counterpoint: burnished tones, layered textures, and an intimate glow perfect for private meetings or speaker preparation.

Outdoor gatherings unfold beneath a wrought-iron gazebo set within the estate's citrus garden, one of the most photographically compelling settings in Southern California. Dark ironwork rises against a canopy of mature orange trees, their blossoms scenting the air as guests take in the garden itself rather than adjacent to it. The effect is one of genuine immersion: the landscape becomes a living backdrop for award ceremonies, product launches, or exclusive receptions.

The open-air plaza, a lattice-detailed, garden-enclosed space where a soft water feature introduces ambient sound and climbing vines catch dappled afternoon light, creates the perfect environment for networking receptions, cocktail hours, and alfresco gatherings. Guests move freely between conversation and greenery in a setting that rewards lingering and meaningful connection.

The main event takes place in the Looking Glass Pavilion, a glasshouse-style structure of black steel and structural glass that blurs the boundary between interior and exterior until the distinction becomes pleasantly irrelevant. By day, natural light floods the space through floor-to-ceiling panes while the surrounding garden presses close beyond the glass. By evening, ambient lighting doubles and multiplies on the reflective surfaces, and the sky transitions from amber to deep indigo outside, while the interior takes on an elegance that requires no enhancement. The Pavilion functions as a design collaborator, amplifying décor, deepening floral installations, and giving every carefully chosen detail a setting worthy of it.

The Garden Party

The Garden Party offers a more compact footprint suited to smaller executive retreats, intimate galas, and private gatherings of up to 150 guests. Preparation takes place in one of two private suites: the Something Blue Suite, with a light, romantic palette of soft blue hues and neutral tones, and the Leather and Oak Suite, a warmer, more dramatic retreat with rich colors and moody detail, both well suited to VIP hosting or speaker green rooms.

Outdoor gatherings can take place at the Promenade, framed by the Tiny Door Chapel and a classic white gazebo, a distinctive backdrop for smaller ceremonies, award presentations, or brand activations.

Guests can move into the Chess Garden for a networking reception, featuring a playful focal point in its oversized chess set, while the nearby Lamplight Grove, Tea Garden, and Conservatory offer additional spaces for smaller breakouts, photo opportunities, or quiet conversation throughout the event.

The main event takes place at the Checkered Veranda, a covered, open-air space with dramatic black-and-white flooring and elegant chandeliers, bringing the outdoors into a defined setting for dinner, programming, or a gala reception. A centrally located bar connects the space's main gathering areas, allowing guests to move easily from one phase of the event to the next.
